What does MP3 Rage require to run?
MP3 Rage should run on any Power Macintosh running Mac OS 8.0 or later. MP3 Rage has been tested with Mac OS 9.0 and it works great. Open Transport and an Internet connection is required to use the Ragester features. QuickTime 4.0 or later is required to play MP3's directly in MP3 Rage.
How do I use MP3 Rage?
Using MP3 Rage is simple: Just drag MP3 files onto the application or windows of the application, select the options you want, and that's it.
Balloon Help is also fully supported so turn it on while you're running the application for more help.
To use the Contextual Menu, simply drop the "Edit MP3 Tags CM" file into your System Folder and restart. Then, control-click on any file and select the "Edit MP3 Tags" menu item, and change any tags you wish in the dialog that appears. The contextual menu item will write tags in both the ID3v2.3.0 and ID3v1.1 formats for maximum compatibility. Please be careful with this plug-in! It allows you to modify files that do not have any tags, allowing you to easily overwrite non-MP3 files.
What is Ragester and how does it work?
Ragester allows you to search the Internet for MP3's by artist, album, title, or keyword using the Napster™ music sharing system. Once you've found the song(s) you want, you can download them directly to your computer for playback in MP3 Rage or any other MP3 player such as SoundJam or QuickTime Player.
Ragester is designed to be simple to use. There is no need for complicated or time consuming registration procedures. Just open the Ragester Search window, type in the artist, album, title, or keyword you want to search for and click "Search". Ragester will perform the search on the Internet and report back anything found. Once you see something you want to download, just double-click on the item in the search window and it starts downloading automatically. That's it.
What tag formats does MP3 Rage support?
MP3 Rage supports all currently available ID3 tag formats. This includes ID3v2 3.0, ID3v2 2.0, and ID3v1 1.1, and ID3v1 1.0.
